The Time Complex Cat by =Belldandirah just seems to have a little bit of everything in it...It's a tad creepy, it's cute, it's a bit surrealistic, it's mystical...& it's also well-drawn, it's got a wicked color scheme, it's got a sweet concept, it's got a good amount of detail, it's got a nice a nice character design...& you know what? With all of that combined, it's just damn fun, plain & simple. Gotta love cartoonish kitties in hats any day.




There's a simplistic explanation as to why Deadbear And Boneless by ~deadbear got a DD in the past: It f***ing rules. Characters, colors, perspective, lighting, style, details...They're all just practically perfect in every single way. This is definitely one wicked cover overall (& I so want to see the inside of it now). Oh, & that comical exclamation mark over Deadbear's head? The priceless cherry on top.




A gorgeous piece depicting one of my favorite original characters here at DA, - ALICIA - La caura vampiro by =el-kenshin mixes a somber mood & a cartoonish style perfectly. Everything from the colors to the pose to the details to the clothes all just combine to make a twisted & cartoonish, near-Burtonesque & stunning work of art. Sad & cute, kenshin serves up one great portrait of a very unique girl...




I rarely ever fave anything with a sort of realistic style, but I'll gladly make an exception for Winter's Kiss by *vixelyn. An amazing mix of both fantasy elements & a self-portrait, it just perfectly creates a touching, magical sort of mood with a wicked drawing containing an amazing amount of detail that just (possibly ironically) warms your heart in the end.




How to draw... by =AtomicStoney isn't just the only tutorial I've ever faved (which should give you an idea as to how good it is), it's honestly the best & most useful tutorial on the whole site. Thanks to her wicked art style, uber-cool character, & great layout, Stoney's pearls of wisdom will definitely invigorate your senses & teach you nothing but the best techniques needed to create great art, or your money back. And because of all that, it truly kicks ass & deserves a spot here.




Thanks to a wicked cross between a morbid & an inspiring message, *Dumpysaurus delivers us one amazing piece of work built around a sweet concept with Palette. Simple but amazing, with a nice character design & a cool & effective 3-color scheme, as well as a sweet pose & a damn fine "sketchy" feel that totally works here. Even if you don't fully understand it, you've still gotta admit that it's one wicked drawing.

I believe that every good piece here on DA tells a story, & given the inspiration behind this piece, this is definitely one story that I wouldn't mind hearing. The character design is great, & ditto for the pose, & those little details all over (especially with the needle-like objects) are all just sweet. This guy definitely lives up to the title of "weirdo", & I wouldn't want it any other way.




=SynDuo's unique & cool art style definitely leads to some fun & amazing characters, cartoons, & comics, & CUTE COMIC- TAFFY origin is no exception. Stylish, funny, cute, & wicked all over with a sweet layout that doesn't even need any dialogue to be great, those unique & (literally) sweet characters have helped to make one what may be one of the best damn comics that I've ever seen on this site. Respect the Taffy or else!!

Road Dragon by ~kattything...Words fail me here, people. This is just so innovative, well-drawn, amazingly colored & just f***ing amazing overall that nothing else I say can appropriately describe how awesome it is. Mistress of the macabre, twisted, & entertaining, *Fealasy never disappoints when it comes to the horrific yet colorful & cartoonish stuff. Here she gives us a twisted history lesson with Holocaust Ghosts, a piece with a wonderfully wicked & innovative concept that seems to have spawned from the combination of Wolfenstein 3D & The Suffering. Frigging jaw-dropping character designs, an amazing color scheme, & Fealasy's own awe-inspiring style definitely all help to make this one a macabre classic.




I've said it before, & I'll say it again: Appealing & original character designs beat out loads of complexity every single time. -- O'Beast -- by *Pokelai is just a damn fine portrait of a fun, appealing, well-drawn, well-designed & cool character, plain & simple. Cute & intriguing, I'd definitely like to see more of this guy (& more OCs in general) in the future.




Speaking of original characters, *seel-dingo's signature character has always been one of my all-time faves, & Human Seel shows us a new & appealing side to her. Drawn wonderfully with some sweet colors, a great body, & a damn fine amount of detail (especially on the clothing & props), this piece only helps to prove that Seel is not only a sweet artist, but also a damn fine OC as well.




DOuble Dashing Dickery by *stplmstr is yet another piece that definitely deserved that DD. Energetic, colorful, fun, & pulled off with a rich, cool, & cartoonish style, this Deviation captures the mood of an intense kart racing game perfectly. I definitely wouldn't mind racing with these guys the next time they're up for a game...




Wizard Kid by =skulljammer...All I have to say about this one is that it's simple, cute, well-drawn & nicely detailed, thanks it part to a fun & cartoonish style, & with a very good character design at the center of it all...It's just very good overall, & I could definitely see this guy kicking ass in a good RPG.




Okay, it's a common fact that 90% of all Grievous fan art on this site is complete pwnage. And even if that statistic is wrong, ~Tmvgabel manages to serve up a wicked portrait of everyone's favorite Star Wars general with this piece. Wicked pose, cool color scheme, great attention to detail, nice mood & expression...It's just all good. Now go give the Jedi ass-kicker the respect he deserves.




Zeralt speedpaint by =TotenVeloren. Proving yet again that original characters kick major ass. Aside from featuring one helluva unique character design, the style & technique used here is just damn amazing, & the color scheme is just plain sweet as well, not to mention the perspective & lighting effects...You know what? I think I'll just leave it again at the fact that it kicks major ass. That should be all I need to say.




Now, when has a =Themrock pic ever failed to rule? He always manages to put an amazing spin on evrything he does with his stunning & innovative style, & A very stupid Venom pic (quite the opposite) is once again, no exception. That twisted pose & sense of movement (nice touch with the background here), combined with some cool colors & unique proportions all help to create a sweet portrait of everyone's favorite Spider-Man villain.

A brilliantly twisted & surrealistic look at one's own artistic style & personality, this piece is just oozing with a sort of Gothic charm, full of brilliant designs & a wicked style with some funky ideas to boot (love that cat), & topped off with a sweet mix of colors & a good amount of detail.
