[link]...Yes, what you have read is true. Apparently, Hollywood has actually become so desperate for comic adaptations (& basic movie ideas in general) that they have actually turned to making a movie out of
gum wrappers.
I am...Really just speechless here. o_O Seriously, this has got to be the dumbest & laziest idea for a movie adaptation I can think of! I honestly do not know how lower one can go for source material to mine. I thought my faith in the clever side of filmmaking was lost when they announced
Alvin and The Chipmunks: The Squeakuel (the mere mention of the pun "Squeakuel" inflicts pain upon me), but damn, this has taken the cake...What were they thinking?!? >_<
But in better movie news (& better news in general, really wanted to bump that last entry off here), I'll be seeing
Up tonight. It does look awesome indeed, & the reviews are glowing, but the kicker is that it'll be our multiplex's first 3D movie. Should be quite an event, but I'll be the judge of whether it tops
Coraline in 3D or not. ^_^
So until then (or next time, or whatever), I shall attempt to help brighten your day a little bit as well with the assistance of three words...

As far as film adaptations go, somebody should make a Chess movie. A loyal pawn travels her across the land, battling the forces of darkness, and soon finds herself disguised as the queen in a conspiracy to overthrow the black king. Steel shall clash, boards shall tremble, and Czechs shall be mated.

Every man has his flaws. Those that eat plastic are no exception.
I tried to see Up tonight but it wasn't playing, so my dad and I watched "Drag me to Hell" instead. It was real campy, but it wasn't bad or anything.
