Yay: THE RETURN OF MONKEY ISLAND. [link] Oh, sweet Jesus, it's finally back...The return of one of the best adventure games ever...8D The Special Edition alone would've been a pretty kickass treat, but brand new, episodic games? Oh Telltale Games, how I worship you...^_^

Boo: This recent announcement in the comic book world...[link] I mean, WTF??? I mean, with Marvel & DC cranking out Crisis after mind-boggling Crisis, I always thought Archie comics - Which I grew up reading as a kid - Would still remain mostly sane. Apparently that is not the case, what with this impending marriage.

But my beef here is actually not that it's a shameless way to grab attention, nor that it's a lousy way to celebrate a 600th issue, or even that they so obviously will not go through with this marriage in the end. No, the problem is that Archie has chosen Veronica over Betty.

I mean, come on Archie, WTF?? You know Veronica's a WASPy rich bitch, dammit! And she's been around the block a few times, believe you me! And Betty's the one who's actually pined over you, done a lot for you, been kind to you these 60+ years, & she's pretty hot to boot! So why Veronica? You're really just doing this for the money, aren't you? Goddamn himbo gold digger...Hope the Punisher comes back again to waste you for this...

LOL: The Hangover. Just got back from it. Damn funny movie, great little "mystery" story, & the cast was amazing. Go see it. Now.

...: R.I.P. David Carradine...[link] Quite a shocking death, indeed. I still remember seeing him as Bill for the first time...Full on badass, & an amazing actor. We'll miss you, David.

Adventure games aren't really my thing, I had fun with the new Sam and Max seasons though.

I'd always thought Archie would choose Betty on account of Veronica would be more open to having an affair, lol.

Hey, also, I'm seeing a movie monday as part of me getting out of high school. Should I see Hangover, or Up, first?

Well, seeing as how Telltale Games made the recent Sam & Max seasons as well, hopefully they'll share a little something that attracts you to Monkey Island's kickassery. ^_^

Hell, if what I've read from the occasional Archie story is true, she has essentially cheated on him on more than one occasion. Granted, the consequences were typically humorous instead of heartbreak, but still, she's a cheatin' skank.

And hmmm, that is a dilemma...Well, if you're eventually going to see both movies in theaters...I guess I'd probably go with The Hangover, since it's more likely to leave theaters sooner, & of course, seeing these movies with more people is always better. And yeah, pick a time in which there's a good-sized crowd, hopefully. ^_^

It's just that with Sam And Max I tried to do everything without a guide... which amounts to spending over an hour clicking everything all over again until you figure out you have to use the microwave in the store that you couldn't do anything with in the last episode. I see they want a person to be creative in solving puzzles, but a little more help would be nice (I think season 2 helps with that? I haven't played it yet).

I only read Archie comics to skim for ads of Sonic the Hedgehog, so I'm not all that familiar with the characters beyond the one word descriptions (Veronica = bitch, Betty = sweetheart, Jughead = goof, Moose = oaf, archie = ...um, redhead? And that other guy who was pompous).

And thanks, that's probably true. Most of my family is interested in both, except for my sis.

Ahh, but that's what some of us would say is part of the joy of an adventure game...having to explore everything & everyone, trying everything possible to solve a puzzle. Some are annoying, yes, but the reward is always worth it. ^_^

And the pompous guy was Reggie, btw.
